Inspired by the Inuit and their iconic protective snow masks, You Mawo's Malina sunglasses celebrate bold designs created with 3D printing technology. The original Inuit frames featured a narrow oval lens shape, which reduced the amount of light exposure to prevent snow blindness. Traditionally made from natural materials such as woods or bones, the frame would have been carved to fit the face with slots that also acted to improve visual acuity based on width.
