Collection: Estiara
Estiara was born in Milan
by Dr. Guitart Delisau , Spanish chemist in the 1950s. The most refined elements are mixed according to elaborate techniques, combining the pigments in order to obtain the desired shades. Finally, the task passes into the expert hands of the eyewear artisans who, faithfully following tradition and with the skills of sculptors, work the material, making each single eyewear an accessory of inimitable style. In the mid-90s his son
Antonio Carlos Guitart took over the company
with the aim of creating an innovative material specifically developed for the eyewear sector. This is how Amanite® was born, a new material specifically designed for the creation of Estiara Milano glasses.
Amanite is a polymer developed and produced in Italy by Sintetica SRL. The designers, having infinite chromatic possibilities at their disposal, have created an enchanting collection of glasses.
-
Eco-friendly , non-toxic and hypoallergenic, 100% recyclable. Processing waste can be recovered for new use, through a process of thermal cracking, condensation and distillation.
- The new polymer has a 20% lower specific weight compared to common acetate, this translates into glasses that are lighter and more comfortable to wear.
The material has excellent heat resistance, this characteristic allows the temples of the glasses to be produced without the need to use the metal insert.
Estiara is a name composed of ES , the acronym of the country in which the Guitart family has its origins, Spain. TIARA , the crown, as a symbol of the culmination of a project already idealized by Doctor Guitart in the 70s. Milan wants to be a tribute to the city in which Antonio Carlos Guitart grew up.
