Collection: Veronika Wildgruber

Veronika Wildgruber is a multifaceted designer based in Berlin. In addition to his eyewear collection, he designs for the French luxury brand Hermès and collaborates with international home and furniture companies.

Strong, independent and distinguished. Through research and experimentation, this collection fuses individual elements into a new, multi-layered aesthetic. The crossing lines create intermediate spaces; the variable thicknesses evoke a sense of depth. Bold combinations of materials together with delicate transitions of color shades create an unexpected three-dimensionality. Inspired by the future, architecture and geometry. Veronika Wildgruber Eyewear first appeared in 2010 with four handmade frames made in collaboration with French lunetier Jacques Durand. After their first presentation at Silmo, they immediately won the Silmo d'Or special jury prize. Encouraged by this response, the first series production was launched in 2012. In 2017 it was again awarded the precious Silmo d'Or for the best sunglasses design. The collection follows a central theme, recognizable from the beginning. It is reinvented and translated into different materials and elaborated on other levels, while establishing an unmistakable formal coherence.
